Spring '23 Road Trip Highlights

Spring '23 Road Trip Highlights

We recently returned from a pick-up run up the California Coast from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz and back.  Here are some of our favorite stops from the trip:

Ojai - Rare Vintage Franciscan Tile

Franciscan Ceramics are ceramic tableware and tile products produced in Los Angeles from 1934 to 1983.  Prized by collectors, these tiles can be found in small batches online, priced at $10 per tile.  We lucked into a 3 rare large lots of Franciscan subway and square tile in (300+ sq ft, never installed) that were rescued by an Ojai-based builder with an impeccable eye for vintage materials. Along with some additional modern variants of classic tile from Clé, we're excited to add these products to Unbuilt in the coming weeks.

Morrow Bay - Window Delivery

Windows and large lights are expensive to ship so when we do pick-up runs, it's always nice to take a few of them along to deliver in person along the way.

Santa Cruz - Illuminée

Illuminée is a much-loved local decor & lighting showroom located in Santa Cruz. Isabelle and Chris (owners) treated us to a tour and some of their beautiful light fixtures. We can't wait to list these great pieces on Unbuilt.  Be sure to stop by for some great looks if you find yourself in Santa Cruz, or check them out online here.
