Description
The Model 548 table lamp is a study in balance and light reflection through a screen. It provides both reflected and diffused light through an adjustable spotlight directed upward towards a reflecting screen. The large diffuser in orange, blue, or white methacrylate creates a highly sophisticated light effect, essential to the lamp's play with perception and visual illusion.
The spotlight in white painted aluminum is mounted on a tubular stem in polished or burnished brass. A small brass bar at the base serves as a counterweight, creating a beautiful balancing act between the individual elements.
In this re-issue, an LED source replaces the original incandescent bulb, and an optical dimmer switch has been discreetly integrated into the design.
