A simple, robust design by Thomas Chung and Jordan Murphy, it evokes the traditional plumb weight used in ancient engineering and starts with a flat circular backplate that extends a smooth arm, presenting a downward-facing, cone-shaped shade that contains a single, energy-efficient LED. Two textures contrast to add intrigue to the piece, the arm standing out with a warm brass hue, while the textured cast aluminum of the wall plate and shade housing adds rustic character.
