Description
Bernard Schottlander designed the Mantis in 1951 and DCW éditions reissues it. A counterweight balances a long steel arm on a single pivot, so the whole thing swings through 180 degrees and the spun aluminium shade turns a full circle and tilts. The arm reaches about 60 inches from the wall; the shade is 10-5/8" across and 9" tall. Black finish throughout, with a push-button switch on the lamp. Plug-in rather than hardwired, with a 79" black fabric cord and an E12 socket taking up to 40W — bulb not included. Steel body, aluminium shade, IP20.
This is an earlier US production run with the E12 socket; DCW's current version ships with an integrated LED. New in its original carton.
