The porcelain shade has a translucent and warm quality when lit, achieved through a meticulous casting and firing process in the Stoke-on-Trent ceramic workshops. As light glows through the porcelain, vertical ridges cut sinuous lines of shadow around the shade, creating soothing illumination in addition to the functional spot of light below.
