A 2018 design that keeps it simple, a round stepped-disc ceiling mount drops its lighting element from a long metal stem, blooming a clear glass globe from a small dish canopy to surround the lamping. This arrangement allows for a pleasant ambient light and wide dispersal, with any extra glare cut by the glass globe.
