&Tradition | Topan VP6 Pendant Light in Chrome

Description

&Tradition | Topan VP6 Pendant Light in Chrome These lights epitomize Verner Panton's affinity for rounded shapes and vibrant color. The great, late Dane first designed Topan in 1959 for the Astoria hotel and restaurant in Tondheim, Norway. These fun, aluminum lights punctuated rooms in the Astoria also furbished by Verner's fabulous geometric textiles (from the walls to the floors to even the ceilings!). Hang one or cluster several Topans together. Or pair with Verner's FlowerPot pendants, released a decade later. The hollowed aluminum and lacquered finish make both series amazing for any room. No wonder Copenhagen house &Tradition decided to reissue them. Visionary Verner believed in a happy, colorful future and designed with modernity in mind. He was the first to do inflatable furniture, cardboard houses and single-form, injection-molded plastic chairs—and all with an optimistic nod. We can't help but smile at the sight of these. Specifications: Size: 7.5" h x 8.3" dia (19x21cm) Cord length: 118.1" (300cm) Material: Lacquered aluminum Technical: E27 Bulb not included *This light is in excellent condition.
