The Monofiore Balloton Vase from Venini employs a masterful quilted glass technique that plays tricks on the eye— appearing pillow-soft despite its solid form. This 1970 design captures the essence of Italian Murano glassmaking through its intricate Balloton pattern, created by skilled artisans who hand-blow and manipulate molten glass. A delicate colored thread winds its way around the piece while still hot, completing the distinctive pattern. Each vase, crafted in Italy, represents generations of craftsmanship where traditional methods meet artistic vision.
