The 1972 Pendant from GUBI is an inspired mix of rustic materials united in a refined Scandinavian-style design. Created by renowned designer Paavo Tynell, who became known as “The man who illuminated Finland,” the artisan-crafted shade makes it stand out. Descending from a single cord, using a brass body with repeating ring accents below the lamping, set inside a conical shade of slim bamboo slats hand-sewn and set around a linen liner. The design diffuses a layered light effect out and upward, highlighting gaps between each bamboo slat, with an interplay of light and shadow unique to each fixture.
